Five Action Items All Agorists/Freedom Seekers Should Consider

by Shane Radliff

If there’s anything 2020 has reconfirmed, it’s that dependence upon the servile society makes an individual extremely vulnerable to coercion, whether we’re discussing reliance upon mega-corporations for basic necessities, or the mental dependency of feeling the need to fit in with this deteriorating civilization. In either situation, physical or mental, many will likely be forced into positions they never could have expected – such as long lines at food banks in 21st century USSA.

So, then, if the vulnerability is due to dependency, the answer is self-sufficiency. In this short article, a number of potential avenues of focus for the agorist, vonuan, or freedom seeker will be explored.

  1. LIBERATE YOUR FOOD SUPPLY.

Health-conscious individuals probably already avoid them as much as possible, but the mass dependence/reliance upon grocery stores will likely become a problem at some point in the near future; this could refer to empty store shelves or additional “health compliance measures”. To skirt around this potentiality, develop local, secure supply lines for your food (i.e. a local rancher/farmer), or grow/raise your own.

Websites like EatWild.com and RealMilk.com provide directories to local organic vegetables/farms, grassfed meat, raw dairy, etc. and are definitely worth using.

Alternatively, raising/growing your own is certainly recommended if it’s possible. No one is going to take better care of your food than you and “trust” is dangerous to toss around blindly nowadays, especially in terms of food.

  1. STRATEGIC WITHDRAWAL/CUTTING TIES

Agorists seek to cut financial/economic ties to the State and the servile society by doing most business in the black/grey markets. Not only will the agorist-in-question make himself/herself personally responsible for their economic position, but they will also not voluntarily make themselves a target of the license-regulate-tax bureaucrats. While this is only one application of strategic withdrawal, or in other words, cutting ties to the State, the idea here is to take personal responsibility for every possible facet of one’s life.

#1 above is also an example; that is, liberating one’s source of food. More generally speaking, items of strategic withdrawal include (but are not limited to):

And to ease the difficulty in going about this alone…

  1. BUILD PARALLEL ECONOMIES/SOCIETIES.

The above two items might be difficult for an individual to achieve alone; many wouldn’t want to anyway, taking into account the fact that the human is a social animal. Thankfully, a few related strategies are worth discussing that have been developed over the course of the last few decades.

Speaking in terms of chronology, Second Realms and permanent autonomous zones build upon the foundational strategy of intentional communities. Briefly defined:

The strategy of building Second Realms is an updated version of temporary/permanent autonomous zones. Essentially, they all enable the ability to conduct trade and other activities (including vices) in certain areas at particular times without reprisal from the State.

In other words, like-minded individuals gathering together to develop their resiliency, with an overarching goal of a decentralized network of Second Realms. And as I explained in a recent article/podcast, “Think of these PAZ’s as crypto-trading outposts of the past, only with their own, unique, and burgeoning cultures, and with the love of freedom and free humans at its core.”

Take what I’m doing here at my homestead (The Free Republic of P.A.Z.NIA) as an example: while I currently reside here alone, a number of other interested self-liberators are assisting as they can with labor and finances. And over the next couple of years, the objective is for an intentional community to naturally develop. By that time, if they decide (or are forced to) relocate more permanently, the homestead should be largely self-sufficient and off-grid. And in the meantime, nomads/travelers are always welcome to visit/camp!

To summate this point, don’t just think about intentional communities in terms of relocating somewhere permanently now. Maybe invest a little money/time into a few different communities, giving you options when/if you decide to relocate; and, simultaneously, you’d be contributing to the building up of the underground.

  1. FOCUS INWARD.

While the Slave society is collapsing under the crushing weight of authoritarian coercion, make 2020 your best year yet. Focus on your health, mental, and spiritual wellbeing, and live free and happy despite the nonsense and insanity that has transpired as of late.

Take time to learn that skill you’ve always wanted to; read that book; go meditate in nature; learn how to incubate your own eggs, etc., it doesn’t matter. Especially now, the State and the technocrats want you scared and anxious. Don’t feed into their energy!

  1. FOCUS ON SECURITY CULTURE.

Briefly defined, security culture is the right to privacy applied; that is, strategies and tactics that help to improve an individual’s security, in both the physical and digital realms. And it’s even more important for agorists in particular, considering the “legal” nature of the activities involved. Strategies in this realm include the use of a pseudonym, encryption (high-tech or low-tech), blending in as the grey man, paying in cash or barter, home hardening, and much more. I’d recommend Kyle Rearden’s primer on the subject if you’re new/just starting out: Just Below The Surface: A Guide to Security Culture!

The reason I mention security culture should hopefully be obvious – that, with the moving of surveillance to the legal/overt realm (i.e. contact tracing), the continued (attempted) clampdowns on encryption, the recent targeting/arrest of “anarchists” by the FBI in Michigan, and many other examples, there’s probably never been a better time to keep one’s head down and “build”, whatever that means to you. Furthermore, in my opinion, it should also be assumed that:

  1. No online communication is secure (at least without the use of dual layer encryption);
  2. The encryption/security application is only as secure as the operating system its running on;
  3. Anyone openly “inciting” about “revolution”, “overthrow,” etc. on Discord, Fascistbook, or whatever other aboveground platform is a fed. People who respect your freedom will never put it in such jeopardy so brazenly.

No fearmongering is intended here; rather, just things to consider in these unique times.

In conclusion, I’d like to leave you with a quote from Second Realm: Book on Strategy, the incredible guide by the pseudonymous Smuggler and XYZ. Not only does it explicate the “why” to building Second Realms, but it tells “us” exactly what is needed, in just one sentence:

“We must form a culture and society of liberty, or at least take first steps towards this goal, and nourish attempts to accomplish a cultural secession from the mainstream society that allows us to form and protect institutions of social interaction and relationships.”

That’s enough talk; let’s get to building.
